Time-lapse footage of clouds in Detroit, all taken on the same day. This is my first attempt to create a block of grid art for Instagram, as well as practice in working simply and rapidly.
I used Finder to think about how to arrange them, then posted them to my grid.
A minor trespassing event was required to get the footage from the base of the Russell A. Alger monument, located in the center of a dry fountain basin.
The music is from a stranger’s wedding, slowed down and reversed. The origin is a cassette tape I bought years ago at a thrift shop. I’ll have to wait until I can find the original cassette again to see if the label reveals more details about this mysterious couple; I recorded it onto my computer long ago and that’s the source used here.
A freeze-frame from one of these clips has become the best accidental selfie I’ve ever taken.
