Joseph Clarence Krause (1980 – )
I make music, sound design, improv theatre, radio drama, video, film, zines. radio and podcasts. My work embraces the DIY spirit. Signature projects include Erie Canal Theatre, Zelda and the Unibrows, Waiting For Lunch, The Mangler and Mr. Rogers’ Sweatshop. I also run Backseat Detroit Tours.

I’ve been a recording engineer, radio host and marriage officiant. I’ve lectured about Detroit land use to grad students at the Law School at the University of Alabama, and I’ve held elected office, servicing my neighborhood council. I’m gay, legally blind and vegetarian. I’ve worked with an orchestra. I’ve made a short film about each of the last 14 years. At age 15, I produced the first-ever “Weird Al” Yankovic tribute album.

My home studio is Bumbleplex and I live in Detroit.

I’m looking for fun and interesting projects.
