The Illegal Demolition of the Madison-Lenox Hotel
Today Terrible Illitches posted about the illegal demolition of The Madison-Lenox Hotel by the Illitch Organization (owners of Little Caesar’s Pizza, The Detroit Tigers, and The Detroit Red Wings) in 2005. There’s a terrific history of this building and its preservation battle at Historic Detroit. I’m posting today because I’ve been sitting on video, punk-rock photoshopping of the event, and over 100 of my own photos since that day. Here they all are!
