In 2012, I struggled with adapting to life with low vision caused by Stargardt’s macular dystrophy. That was the year I gave up my car and suffered other challenges caused by deteriorating vision.

I figured out that I could show Detroit to visitors by hopping in their cars and navigating, and a business was born. This became a major pursuit from 2013-2020, when I paused the business indefinitely due to the pandemic. Perhaps it will return again.

I was on TV, in the Metro Times, lectured to Law Students at the University of Alabama, and accumulated almost exclusively five-star reviews, over 90 of them. I provided city tours for over one thousand people and annually achieved a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

The logo to the left was desugbed bt Megan O’Connel at the now-closed Detroit design studio Salt & Cedar, for whom Zelda and the Unibrows created the track “Signal-Return” and where we held our 2012 “Blissful Cessation” release party.

The art below was created by me — that’s right, with my terrible eyesight. Lots of patience zoomming in and out of photoshop after allowing myself to go down the rabbit hole.

The official wwebsite for the business with much more information is here:
